The intention of this privacy policy is to understand how and when we collect, use and share data at Sweet Stationery Store when you purchase items from me or use my services through my direct website, Facebook, Squarespace or Etsy. It is important to note that we do not directly have a mailing list and do not keep and use any personal addresses or email addressed for advertising purposes.

1. Personal Information Collected by Sweet Stationery Store

In order for me to fulfil your orders, I will need some personal data from you which you have authorised The website providers to pass to me, this may be your address, payment information and details of the items you have ordered.

2. The Legal basis we rely on to collect, use and share personal information

We rely on a number of legal basis to collect, use and share your data, these incude

- To enable us to fulfil your order, settle disputes or provide good customer service

- If necessary to comply with any legal obligations / court orders or in connection with a legal claim.

- If necessary to allow me to provide information about purchases for Tax Law.

- To serve my legitimate interests, if not overridden by your insterests, examples including both providing the service/items you have requested/ordered and in compliance with any sellers policies

3. The third parties with whom we share information

There are only very limited reasons why your information would be shared

- Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and to comply with the obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and their terms of use.

- Paypal. This is a secure payment method, the information given within the paypal transaction allows us to process and ship your order. Also stripe will be the same

- For Shipping Purposes - Presently Royal Mail are used for shipping purposes. All data retained in terms of proof of post is locked away.

• - Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

4. The length of time personal information is retained

- Any information retained, i.e. Addresses used to make custom orders (such as personalised lables) or provide repeat services are stored in a spreadsheet on my password protected laptop. It is not accessible for anyone without the password. The information is retained for 1 year and then deleted.

- For us to have supporting data for compliance with Tax, Regulatory & Legal requirements, any supporting information will be retained for a period of 6 years in line with the UK Legal requirements. This will include an identifier to your order within that period i.e. your name and date ordered but no other personal information will be retained personally by us.

5. How data is transferred outside of Europe

Others than the Etsy/Paypal/Royal Mail platforms, we do not transfer any data outside of Europe. At the moment, we do not have any third party order management or hosting systems.

6. Your rights regarding the use of the personal data and our contact details
